The goal was to unmask some of the most prominent advocates from around the globe, as an individual, in a personal light with their family, friends and loved ones behind closed doors; allowing the public to see for the first time the individual behind the mask of an advocate.
Roberts' hand selected two of Kshir’s works. The first piece will capture you heart as she pens the importance of keeping one’s faith in God. The second piece says goodbye to a decade old friendship. In Roberts’ words "Donna's heartfelt words will leave you breathless." The special,'Gold Edition' features Chicago advocate, public speaker and survivor Patrick Dati. As a child, Dati was bullied by his older brothers and raped at 9 years old by serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Both women spoke highly of Dati. 'It takes courage to stand up and be who you are, to be true to oneself. Patrick is not only a survivor, but an incredible inspiration to all male survivors across the globe. We are honored to choose Patrick for this special gold edition cover of UnMasked. We are also blessed to call him our friend." The collection includes raw and unedited poems, personal stories, thoughts and letters of beautifully penned stories of hope, loss, pain, healing, inspiration, love, sorrow, courage and strength to discover the extraordinary lives of the men and women who protect and serve our most precious; our children. ‘UnMasked’ is available at Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, Lulu.com and other fine brick and mortar stores.
